Open Space pv-system
Neu Wulmstorf
Former waste deposit generates current from the sun

The biggest solar system in the metropolis-region of Hamburg went in use in September 2005. The pv-system on the former waste deposit of Neu Wulmstorf with a 500kWp output generates power for at least 115 households and has been realized within just three months.
An overall of 3132 polycristalline modules are turned towards the sun. The long module lines are aesthetically adapted to the roving landscape. The former waste deposit has turned into a space of renewable energies. The solar system apart, there are three huge wind wheels and a heat plant producing energy for 1600 households.
